Stumpf Group is a privately owned investment group headquartered in Vienna. We manage and invest our own capital and are therefore able to make decisions independently, act quickly and hold investments for as long as their long-term potential remains compelling.
The Group was founded by Georg Stumpf and has its roots in the development and construction of major real estate projects. Over time, it expanded into a diversified international investment group with activities in real estate, technology, private and public equity, and infrastructure.
Our approach is entrepreneurial and commercially focused. We place particular importance on a clear understanding of risk, disciplined capital allocation, strong management teams and practical execution. We do not pursue growth for its own sake; we invest where we see a credible path to sustainable value creation.
Our Principles
Direct Investment
We invest primarily through direct ownership, and through third-party funds only with selected long-term partners. This gives us a clear view of the assets and businesses in which our capital is deployed.
Concentrated Conviction
We prefer a focused portfolio of meaningful investments to a large number of small positions. Capital is committed only where we have a strong understanding of the market, the asset and the associated risks.
Active Ownership
Where useful, we work closely with management teams and operating partners on strategy, governance, financing and major investment decisions.
